A look at The State’s all-area boys soccer team from Midlands-area high schools for the 2022 season.

Angel Barrientos Reyes, Brookland-Cayce: All-state selection had 16 goals and 18 assists for Class 3A runner-up.

Sammy Carmona, Mid-Carolina: Junior had a school-record 41 goals in 17 games and was an all-state selection.

Jackson Collins, River Bluff: Midfielder had 12 goals and two assists. Was North-South all-star selection.

Arlis Dawsey, Chapin: Four-year starter for Chapin and center back had three goals and two assists. Was North-South selection.

Connor Flynn, Cardinal Newman: Defender was Co-Region Player of Year in helping the Cardinals to second straight SCISA 3A championship.

JT Gardner, Gray Collegiate: Senior defender had six goals and 19 assists this season. Was all-state selection and signed with Columbia International.

Carson Graves, Chapin: Junior all-state selection led team with 15 goals and 16 assists for the Eagles, who played for Class 5A state championship.

Lane Greenlee, Dutch Fork: Senior led team with 13 goals and three assists. Was North-South selection.

Connor Jackson, Blythewood: Wofford signee was all-state and North-South selection. Had five goals and 11 assists this season.

Ryan Kussro, Gray Collegiate: Senior had 11 goals and three assists this season. Was all-state and North-South selection.

Kenny Kwizera, Lexington: Junior was all-state selection and Region 5-5A Player of the Year. He finished with 22 goals and 13 assists.

Eduardo Moisa Membreno, Brookland-Cayce: Senior was all-state selection and became B-C’s all-time leading goal scorer. He finished the season with 57 goals and 18 assists.

Jackson Price, A.C. Flora: 2021 S.C. Gatorade Player of the Year was all-state and Clash of Carolinas all-star selection. He had 32 goals and 13 assists this season.

Allanzo Reid, Columbia: Junior was all-state selection and team’s top goal scorer with 27 goals and 22 assists.

Matthew Rotola, River Bluff: All-State selection had eight goals and 10 assists this season for the Gators.

Thomas Roberts, Spring Valley: Region 4-5A Player of the Year was Vikings’ leader in goals and assists. He also was all-state and Clash of Carolinas selection.

Franklin Spires, Lexington: All-state selection had 21 goals and 15 assists this season.

Charlie Stokes, A.C. Flora: Senior had six goals and 18 assists. Was all-state and Clash of Carolinas all-star selection.

Terry Watson, Blythewood: Clemson signee and senior defender was all-state selection. He had four goals and four assists this season.

Carlos Vasquez, Gray Collegiate: Sophomore forward was Region 3-2A Player of Year and all-state selection. He finished with 22 goals and nine assists this season.
